8. orientation

Get ready for your time at camp.

We will support you through your quarantine requirements, as well as provide an online orientation to make sure you're fully ready for your Canadian adventure.

We'll help you set up your bank account and social insurance number before you all head up to camp.

You may even bump into one of your fellow camp staff on the flight, as you'll all head to camp around the same time.

ready for your epic Canadian adventure?

When should I apply for the program and is there a deadline?

Easy answer – now! We have limited spots left for 2021 as well as waiting list spots and early access options for 2022, so the sooner you apply the sooner we can support you. 2021 applications will formally close in May

If you aren't able to arrive in Canada by the specified date, please contact us. You may be able to move your application forward, depending on your earliest availability date and skill set.

Is the deposit refundable?

The initial deposit is fully refundable if you are not accepted into the Camp Canada program following your initial interview. Once interviewed and accepted that deposit becomes non-refundable.

Where are the camps located? Can I choose the location?

The majority of the camps that we work with are located in Ontario. We also work with a good number of camps in Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta. You can express your preferences on your application, but we cannot give you a guarantee, as it depends on the Camp Director’s needs and work permit eligibility. The best way to influence your location is by including your skills and camp type preferences.

Can I get placed at the same camp as my friend/partner?

Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee you a placement at the same camp as your friend or partner, and therefore do not accept applications as couples or groups.

Can I travel before or after camp on my work permit?

Yes - most visitors are permitted to stay in Canada, visa-free, for up to six months. Ask us about extending your stay in Canada during your welcome call!

Can I apply if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Yes, you can apply. We have an optional medical form if you wish to disclose any pre-exisiting conditions to us. However, this is not a mandatory part of the program.
